Ramona was very helpful when we were buying our first house. I had been referred to her by a friend but I was still apprehensive as I had a lot of questions, seeing as I had never gone through the process before. I called her and almost immediately my nerves were calmed. She was very patient with all of my questions and answered them in lamens terms so I could understand. She was available at all hours and was just a text away when I had another question (which happened a lot!). We only conferred over technology but I felt like we were friends and she was looking out for our best interests. I guess my experience began over 2 years ago when I moved back to Alberta with my wife, to reset our roots for our budding family. At the time of the move my wife and I were 8 months pregnant, expecting our first son. Faced with the prospect of finding a rental, we decided to first explore our options to buy a home. At the time we were less than 3 years clear from my bankruptcy, and were unsure what we needed to do to secure credit from an A lender. Fortunately a good friend of mine was a real estate agent in Calgary, and put us in contact with Ramona at MI. Within days of contacting Ramona, she came to meet with us to discuss our credit file. After pulling our file, we were able to clearly see where we were, but still lacked the route we needed to get us to a spot of credit independance. Ramona played a vital role in our rebuild of credit. Throughout the next two years, we would contact Ramona to discuss options of helping rebuild my broken credit. She always had time, no matter the day, or time of day, to discuss what our next steps would be. I'm happy to say that My wife and I are now in the home of our dreams, and we were able to get it at a rate that was better than the posted Bank rates. I know that none of this would have been possible without Ramona's help. Not only did she play an integral role in our families future, I now refer to her as an extension of my family, and speak her praise to everyone that will listen.
